How to Fix No Audio Output Device is Installed OR Not Working?
Method 1: Re-enable the device
To fix this problem catch the steps given below. Note that you have to re-enable your audio device and there may changes in the steps if the version of the system is different.
Step 1: Press Windows key and R key together from the keyboard to open a run command window.
Step 2: In the search bar type devmgmt.msc and click on ok to open the device manager.
Step 3: Now find the Sound, video and game controllers inside the list of device manager.
Note: If you don’t see the above option in your list, follow the next step otherwise skip it and go to the step number 5.
Click on the Action tab and select Add Legacy hardware (if you see only the Help in this menu, click somewhere in the white space around the list. while clicking makes sure that nothing is selected), and click on the Action menu again.
Click on the Next tab to start the Add Hardware wizard. (note that if you can’t see Hardware wizard then go directly to method 3)
Select Search for option and click on install hardware automatically
Click on next, if it tells you that it can’t find any new hardware.
You will find a list of hardware types. Scroll down and click on Sound, video and game controllers and then click on Next.
Choose the model and manufacturer of your sound card, and click on Next. (If you don’t know model and manufacturer then go to the method 3)
Click next and install the device. Once the installation completes, click on finish.
Step 5: Expand the category of Sound, video and game controllers and right-click on your audio device. In the pop-up menu click on Enable and if it is already enabled, then try for method 2.
Method 2: Manually uninstall & reinstall the device driver
Step 1: Follow the above steps to open device manager, go to the Sound, video and game controllers option. Click on it and expand it.
Step 2: Now, find your audio device and right click on it and click on Uninstall to uninstall the driver.
Step 3: Restart your PC. After restarting; Windows should automatically re-install the sound driver, and your problem solve.
Method 3: update your audio device drivers
